Case Studies of Some of Our Clients Requirements and the Solution provided

Screeduct Offers Concealment
Screeduct, the UK's premier ducting manufacturer, has recently supplied a substantial consignment of bespoke trunking for a large external government project.

A 3mm galvanised steel casing was specified, 300mm x 150mm, incorporating four compartments to secure and conceal the utilities.

Due to heavy load bearing requirements the trunking was enclosed and stabilised with a 10mm galvanised checker plate lid. All fixings were stainless steel to withstand the elements.

Screeduct is a trusted advisor to specifiers for every kind of housing and commercial project. The company continually meets the individual needs of their clients.

Modern Ducts Heat History
Over 250 metres of Screeduct heavy-duty floor ducts have been installed in Dorchester Abbey in Oxfordshire.

The Church, which has been a place of worship for over 1,300 years, is undergoing a major renovation which includes installing central heating for the first time in its illustrious history.

The ducts, which carry the pipework, were required to be strong and effective but also unobtrusive. As a result, Screeduct specially manufactured stainless steel trunking some with 6mm stainless steel covers to be concealed under the Abbey’s flagstones and some grille covers in open areas to facilitate access.

The trunking system includes patented flange fittings at the base of the standard profile which are self-levelling and self-fixing within the screed. This simple method ensures that all movement is eliminated while strength is maintained through the full length of the duct. It is ideal for this kind of application where the trunking needs to rest tightly on a subfloor which is old and decayed.

Screeduct can design, manufacture and install standard or special ducting to suit varying screed thicknesses from 50 to 100mm. The company also provides bends and tee junctions, for continuous unbroken runs, plus clips and dividers for altering the duct internally to suit varying site configurations. Covers in steel and plywood are also available.
