TRUNKING & CLADDING SOLUTIONS

SFD, XDT and HD Floor Trunking Systems

Screeduct floor trunking allows the laying and protection of pipework or power supply cabling within floor screeds. The pre-formed modular tray sections are manufactured from hot-dipped, galvanised coated mild steel and comply with BS EN 10 142, 1991. They are also available in stainless steel.

Service access is provided by removable flush-fitting modular covers manufactured from WBP exterior grade plywood, 15, 18 or 25mm thick and complying with BS 1203, 1979. A range of accessory components allows the jointing of runs to any configuration including T-junctions which use a metal lid to allow an extra 12mm of space for pipes to cross over. Clips and dividers permit internal partitioning of the sections to site requirements.

Customised sections
Other widths and depths for all these ranges can also be made to order, although the gauge of material may need to be increased if the sections are particularly large.

Installation
There are numerous ways of installing the trunking systems and technical advice is always readily available.

With the SFD and HD profiles, the unique and simple innovation of attaching side flanges at the base allows self-fixing when screed is floated into position...without the need for any additional fixing. For protection, covers should be temporarily fitted before screeding flush with the top of the tray, then removed so services can be installed after the screed has dried.
