floor trunking

Screeduct® ducting systems are pre-formed modular tray sections manufactured from hot-dipped, galvanised and coated mild steel. These sections allow the laying and protection of pipework or power supply cabling safely within floor screeds.

Service access is provided by removable flush-fitting modular covers (manufactured from WBP exterior grade plywood, aluminium or steel). A range of accessory components (also manufactured from mild steel) allows the jointing and cornering of runs of duct to the required configuration. Clips and dividers permit the internal partitioning of the floor trunking and ducting sections to site requirements.

Standard compliance
Mild steel complies with BS EN 10 142.199. WBP exterior grade plywood covers comply with BS 1023.1979.

Installation
Generally, floor trunking and ducting is levelled on a mortar bed and secured though its base by masonry nails or special fixings to concrete sub-floors.

Screeduct® HD and SFD systems feature unique, patented side flanges to secure trays when the screed is floated into position. Steel or timber covers should be temporarily fitted before screeding flush with top of tray, then removed to install services after screed dries.

Screeduct® patented flanges
The unique and simple innovation of attaching side flanges at the base of HD and SFD ducting profiles allows self-fixing within the screed without the need for additional fittings.
